IHRC refers to the Research wing of IHMA, it is concerned with research activities and aims to facilitate interest and encourage doctors to undertake research projects in Homoeopathy in accordance with the necessary protocols and research methodologies.
History of IHRC
After the formation of IHMA, then leaders thought of a research body and named it Indian Homoeopathic Research Centre – managed by IHMA. Later it became just IHRC. Dr. V. Sajeev Ampadi, the first director IHRC implemented certain criteria for clinics to get accredited by IHRC. The idea is to encourage doctors to ensure minimum required facilities in their clinics in terms of space, equipment, data storage, patient friendliness etc. These clinics will be enrolled in data collection for certain projects. Accreditation certificates were also issued. Later another good project was completed under Dr. Vinod joseph as IHRC Director, Kerala. The 'fever protocol'- guidelines in fever management - published by Dr Manu Varghese and team was well received and appreciated by the fraternity. IHRC also promotes and gives opportunities to homoeopaths to take an interest in research and present them properly. To facilitate the same, IHMA organises workshops and training sessions.
IHRC also works in association with other similar minded organisations and institutions to serve humanity better with Homoeopathy.
